An evening Brescia will never forget

On July 1, 2025, the 62nd edition of the Trofeo Città di Brescia – Memorial Rino Fiori ed Emilio Volpi took place with great success, delivering spectacle, sport, and participation.
An international night race — category UCI 1.2 Elite/Under-23 — which saw dozens of riders and teams from all over Italy and abroad at the starting line.

ZIPPOPIU.it was a sponsor of the event: for us, it is not just a sponsorship, but a concrete sign of affection for sport, for our city, and for all those who believe in the passion of cycling.

The numbers of the race

📅 Date: July 1, 2025
🏁 Route: 21 laps of Colle Cidneo — 121.8 km total
🚴 Participants: about 167 riders belonging to 35 clubs
🕗 Time: start from the Castle at 20:15, finish around 23:00

The city ring, the streets of the center, and Colle Cidneo created the perfect setting for the classic "night race," with the charm of the city lights and the crowd gathered along the entire circuit.

The victory of Giovanni Bortoluzzi

The race was fiercely contested until the very last meter.
After a two-man sprint, victory went to Giovanni Bortoluzzi (General Store), who in the final sprint finished ahead of:

2️⃣ Alexandre Balmer (Solution Tech – Vini Fantini) – s.t.
3️⃣ Riccardo Lorello (Team Hopplà) – at 10”

A well-deserved victory: Bortoluzzi remained focused until the final stretch, winning in front of a large and passionate crowd.
